JPSC Crisis: Three Members Resign Following CID Summons Amid Student Protests

A central focus of the CID investigation involves the selection and empanelment of a private entity known as TSR Data Processing Private Limited (TDPL). The investigative agency is scrutinizing the process through which TDPL was chosen to handle sensitive examination data. A critical point of contention is that TDPL had reportedly been blacklisted in the past. The CID is looking into the specific grounds and administrative decisions that led to the empanelment of a previously blacklisted company for conducting high-stakes public service examinations. Student Movement and Political Response

The resignations have occurred against the backdrop of a massive student movement led by the JPSC-JSSC candidates. The students have been protesting against alleged corruption and irregularities in the recruitment exams conducted by both the Jharkhand Public Service Commission and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission. Although the state government held talks with the protesting students on Sunday and agreed to several of their conditions, a deadlock remains.
