The hearing of this case was being done by the bench of Kaushik Chand. On this, Mamta Banerjee had demanded that he be separated from the case. He said that Kaushik Chand had relations with BJP. On this demand, the court has imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh. At the same time, at his discretion, he himself has decided to walk away from the case.

The court, while imposing a fine on Mamta Banerjee, said, 'Mamata Banerjee has tried to malign the image of the judiciary through this demand. The amount of fine imposed on them will be spent for the welfare of the families of the lawyers affected by Corona. Mamata Banerjee's reaction to the court's decision to impose the fine has not yet come to the fore.
