'INDIA' Alliance: As the Lok Sabha elections approach, the alliance of opposition parties, I.N.D.I.A., has started disintegrating. West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee, who has been expressing her displeasure with the Congress for the past several days, has announced that her party will contest the elections alone on all the seats in West Bengal. Mamta Banerjee says that Trinamool Congress does not have an alliance with Congress in West Bengal.

I have no discussion with Congress party- Mamta

I am not worried about what will be done in the country but we are a secular party. And in Bengal we will single-handedly defeat BJP. Mamta said that I am part of the Bharat Alliance. Why did things go wrong?

There was no agreement between Congress and TMC on seat sharing. According to sources, Congress was demanding 10-12 seats but TMC was ready to give only 2 seats. But Congress was not ready for this. This is where things went wrong. According to sources, TMC was offering Congress the two seats won by Congress in the 2019 Lok Sabha, Baharampur and Malda South, but Congress was not ready for this. After this announcement, Mamata Banerjee's party TMC will contest elections alone on all 42 seats of Bengal.
