Hardik Pandya recently underwent back surgery in London and is set to be out of action for the next few months. He received a lot of good wishes from the fraternity and the fans to get back on the field fully fit. The all-rounder himself informed his followers of a successful surgery and duly responded to some of his colleagues thanking them for the wishes.

However, one of the fans on Twitter tried to take a funny dig at Hardik recalling his comment earlier this year which had put the cricketer in trouble. Hardik and KL Rahul were the guests in the popular chat show Koffee with Karan and the episode aired in January this year. The comments made by the duo, especially Pandya, put him in troubled waters as both of them were soon suspended.

One of the comments which went viral or came under the scanner was ‘Aaj main karke aaya’ (I did today). The fan, quoting Hardik Pandya’s successful surgery tweet, and reminded the all-rounder of his statement in a funny way. “Surgeon: Aaj main karke aaya,” the fan commented.

Hardik’s witty response

The phase during his suspension was very tough for Hardik Pandya as he was sent back midway through Australia tour and had refrained himself from speaking to the media. The fan’s comment didn’t seem to go down well with the 25-year-old and he wittily responded to him stating that he has given him the 20-second fame with his reply. “Thanks mr nobody! Here is your 20-sec fame !!!” Hardik replied.

As far as Hardik’s injury is concerned, the back problem started during the Asia Cup last year when he collapsed in pain during one of the matches. Since then, his injury was managed until the World Cup. He was also rested for the entire West Indies tour and made a comeback for the T20I series against South Africa at home. Pandya played both the completed matches of the series but complained of back pain after the last game.

He will soon commence his rehabilitation according to the BCCI‘s statement but Hardik Pandya is expected to be away from the field for close of five months.
