Delhi Liquor Scam: Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will appear in Rouse Avenue Court today in the alleged liquor policy scam case in Delhi. Sisodia's judicial custody ends today. At the same time, the CBI charge sheet will be heard in the court today. There will be a debate regarding framing of charges against the accused.

Decision on bail application may come on April 30

Earlier on Saturday, the court reserved its order on the bail pleas of Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia. Special judge for CBI and ED Kaveri Baweja reserved her order for April 30 after hearing the arguments of the central investigating agencies and Sisodia's lawyer. The Aam Aadmi Party leader has also filed interim bail petitions in both the cases to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. However, Sisodia's lawyer told the court on Saturday that the plea had become infructuous as the decision on the regular bail plea had been reserved.

This allegation has been leveled against Sisodia

The CBI and ED allege that irregularities were committed while revising the Delhi Excise Policy, undue benefits were given to license holders, license fees were waived or reduced and licenses were granted without the approval of the competent authority.

Sisodia was arrested last year

Let us inform you that CBI had arrested Manish Sisodia on 26 February 2023 for his alleged role in the liquor policy case. ED had arrested Sisodia on March 9, 2023 in a money laundering case arising out of a CBI FIR. Sisodia resigned from the Delhi Cabinet on 28 February 2023. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also been arrested in this case. While AAP leader Vijay Nair and MP Sanjay Singh have also been arrested. However, Sanjay Singh later got bail.
