Auto / Maruti Suzuki Ertiga demand rises, customers will have to wait for 22-24 weeks for deliveries

Ertiga makes use of Maruti Suzuki's HEARTECT platform. It gets a 17.8 cm SmartPlay Infotainment system. There is 60:40 split in second row and 50:50 split in the third. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is one of the most famous multi-purpose vehicles in India. Second-generation Ertiga came out, popularity of the name has only swelled. An enquiry with company dealerships has revealed that there is a waiting period of 22-24 weeks.

There are two engine options available with Ertiga -- a K15 petrol motor with progressive smart hybrid technology and a DDiS diesel engine with smart hybrid technology. The 1.5-litre petrol motor churns out 103 bhp of power and 138 Nm of torque, while the 1.3-litre diesel mill is good for 89 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. The petrol and diesel engines are mated to a five speed manual gearbox, with the former having an option for an automatic transmission as well.

Maruti Suzuki claims fuel efficiency figures of 19.34 kmpl and 18.69 kmpl, respectively, for the manual and automatic petrol variants. The diesel version returns with a mileage figure of 25.47 kmpl, as claimed by the company.

Ertiga flaunts a bold personality with projector headlamps, chrome studded front grille and 3D tail lamps with LEDs. The smart flexi-seating, along with third row recliner seats and second row air conditioning, enhances the in-cabin experience. The seating comes with 60:40 split in the second row and 50:50 split in the third.
