Mehul Choksi, an accused in the PNB scam going from Antigua to Bhaker Cuba, has been apprehended in Dominica. Antigua Prime Minister Gaston Brownlee has said that his country will not accept the fugitive businessman and will be sent directly to India. In this way, seeing Choksi coming under the clutches of Indian agencies, his lawyer Vijay Aggarwal has started seeing disturbances in this whole development. Aggarwal said, "I think he would not have reached Dominica by his own will." I am getting something wrong, which is still not paying attention to how they reached Dominica. ''

Choksi is caught in Dominica after missing in Antigua. Initially, preparations were on to hand him over to Antigua, but PM Brownie said that he should be extradited directly to India. Choksi holds citizenship of Antigua. Citing Section 9 of the Indian Citizenship Act, advocate Vijay Aggarwal said that Choksi can only be extradited to Antigua, where he has valid citizenship.

Vijay Aggarwal issued a statement on Thursday saying, "The citizenship of India came to an end when Mehul Choksi got the citizenship of Antigua. So therefore he can only be extradited to Antigua as per Immigration and Passport Act, Sections 17 and 23. " The request is forbidden to be accepted.

Aggarwal said, "It has to be done legitimately and it is not a game of chess." We are a human being, not a pawn to do it from here to there. It cannot be according to anyone's wish. ”He also cited human rights, stating that a person can only be extradited to the country where he is a citizen.
