Lok Sabha Elections: Congress leader Milind Deora has resigned from the primary membership of Congress. Tendering his resignation, he said, "Today marks the end of an important chapter in my political journey. According to the information received, he will join Shinde faction of Shiv Sena.

Will meet Eknath Shinde

BJP has taken a dig at Milind's resignation. BJP said that Rahul should first do justice to his leaders and then take out Nyay Yatra. Let us tell you that Milind Deora will reach the residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today at 1.30 pm. After this he will join the party only in the presence of CM Shinde. Apart from Milind Deora, 10 former councilors, 20 officials, 15 trade associations and 450 workers will join Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena. Let us tell you that earlier on Saturday, Milind Deora had denied the news of leaving the party. He had termed such news as rumours. Recently, in the Congress Working Committee meeting, Deora was given the responsibility of Joint Treasurer. But only after 20 days of this meeting, Deora resigned from the primary membership of the party.

What did Jairam Ramesh say?

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, reacting to this, said that I was associated with Murli Deora for many years, whom I remember fondly. His close friends were in all political parties. But he was a staunch Congressman. He stood firmly with the Congress Party in every difficult situation. Indi alliance is also being said to be a reason behind Milind leaving the party. Let us tell you that Milind has always been contesting elections from Mumbai South seat. But in the Indi alliance meeting, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena had claimed to contest from this seat. If this seat had gone to Shiv Sena's Uddhav faction, Milind would not have been able to contest elections here. Therefore he resigned from the party.
