According to the notification issued by the government, there has been a change in the updated interest rates of the Small Savings Scheme for the quarter from January to March 2024. This time the government has increased the interest rates only on Sukanya and three-year FDs. After this increase, the highest returns will be available in Senior Citizens Saving Scheme and Sukanya Yojana. Increase in interest rates of Sukanya Yojana

According to the information released by the government, the interest rates of only two schemes in the Small Savings Scheme have been increased. Apart from this, the rates of any scheme have not been increased. According to the data, the interest rates of Sukanya have been increased by 0.20 percent. After which Sukanya's interest rates have become 8.20 percent. This means that Sukanya Small Savings Scheme has come at par with the Senior Citizens Savings Scheme in terms of giving returns.

Increase in 3 year FD also

On the other hand, the interest rates on 3 year FD have also been increased. According to the data, this FD has been increased by 0.10 percent. Now investors will get 7.1 percent return on three-year FD of post office. In the coming quarter, you will get 6.9 percent return on one year FD, 7 percent return on 2 year FD and 7.5 percent return on 5 year FD. No change has been seen in these.

There is no change in the interest rates of these schemes

  • The highest expectations were regarding the interest rates of PPF, but this time also the government has not made any change in it. According to statistics, PPF will still give a return of 7.1 percent.
  • There is also no change in the interest on Kisan Vikas Patra which matures in 115 months. In this also investors will get a return of 7.5 percent.
  • There has also been no change in the interest rates on savings deposits. Investors will continue to get only 4 percent interest.
  • This time there has been no change in the 5 year recurring deposit. This time investors will get only 6.7 percent return.
  • There has been no change in the Senior Citizens Saving Scheme this time, investors will get a return of 8.2 percent in this scheme.
  • The government has not made any changes in the interest rates of the monthly savings scheme. In such a situation, investors will continue to get returns of 7.4 percent.
  • There has been no change in the interest rates of National Savings Certificate. The government will continue to give 7.7 percent return on this to investors.
