Demand to make Dhoni the chief selector

Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has suggested to the BCCI that former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni should be made the new chief selector. Danish Kaneria said during an interview, 'BCCI officials should talk to MS Dhoni once. They should find out what is Dhoni's plan and whether he can become the chief selector. Now the time has come for BCCI, Roger Binny and Jay Shah to take strict action and form a new selection committee.

Kaneria, who played 61 Tests and 18 ODIs in his career, said, "BCCI now needs to include new people in the selection committee. MS Dhoni's mind is amazing and he is a great player. When this is the case then why is a player like him not in the selection committee. Please tell that Dhoni is currently away from cricket. He only participates in IPL and captains the Chennai Super Kings team. Under Dhoni's leadership, India has won the ICC World Cup in both T20 and ODI formats.
