Rome: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived to attend the G-20 summit, was given a grand welcome. During this, PM Modi met Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. Earlier, Prime Minister Draghi received PM Modi at Palazzo Chigi in Rome. PM Modi was given a guard of honor there. The two leaders discussed issues of bilateral and mutual interest during the meeting. Prime Minister Modi will also meet Pope Francis in Vatican City today (Saturday).

This issue will be discussed in G-20

In the G-20 summit, PM Modi will discuss how to bring the global economy and health sector affected by the corona virus epidemic back on track. On his arrival in Rome, the Prime Minister was received by senior officials of the Italian Government and the Ambassador of India to Italy. The Ministry of External Affairs gave information in this regard by issuing a statement.

PM Modi will go from Italy to UK

Before leaving for Italy, PM Modi said that he will visit Rome and Vatican City from 29 to 31 October at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. After this, he will stay in Glasgow, UK on November 1 and 2 at the invitation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The prime minister had said that he would attend the summit of the Group of 16 G-20 countries in Rome and discuss with its leaders on how to recover the global economy and health from the effects of the pandemic, sustainable development and climate change.

First Sikh Conference after Corona

Prime Minister Modi told that he is registering his presence in a summit for the first time after the Kovid-19 epidemic came to the fore. He said that the G-20 meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the current global situation and measures to strengthen the economy in an inclusive and sustainable manner after the pandemic. The PM will also meet Pope Francis in Vatican City today i.e. on Saturday.
