New Delhi : Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu's daughter Rabia Sidhu has also entered the electoral fray. Although she is not contesting the elections, but is campaigning on the Amritsar East seat to make her father Navjot Singh Sidhu win. Rabia said that she would not marry until her father was victorious. During this, Rabia targeted Charanjit Singh Channi. He claimed that Channi had Rs 133 crore in his account.

Assembly elections are to be held in Punjab in a single phase on February 20. Punjab Congress firebrand leader and PCC Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu is contesting from Amritsar (East). Now his daughter Rabia has also taken the front to get Sidhu to win the election. Talking to reporters during the campaign, Rabia targeted Congress's CM candidate and current Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Also, playing the emotional card, she said that she will not marry until her father gets the victory.

Channi's bank accounts should be checked

Rabia Sidhu targeted Congress party's CM candidate Charanjit Singh Channi. Said whether Channi is poor as claimed. Their accounts should be scrutinized. Rabia claimed that Channi has assets worth more than Rs 133 crore in her account.

Rabia is believed to be unhappy with her father Navjot Singh Sidhu not being nominated as the Congress CM candidate for the 2022 Punjab elections. She also appeared very upset by the neglect of her father for the CM candidate. "Maybe they (high command) had some compulsion. But you can't hold an honest man for long. A dishonest man has to stop eventually," he said.

There is no comparison between Sidhu and other party leaders: Rabia

Rabia said that he (Sidhu) has been working for Punjab for the last 14 years, he is creating a new model for the state. They should be respected. Taking a candid dig at Channi, Rabia said that no comparison can be made between her father and other party leaders in the state.

Rabia said that Punjab is in bad shape and only one person, her father, can save it. He alleged that his father's political opponents and others were trying to back him.

Majithia uncle learned politics from my father

Rabia also hit out at Akali Dal candidate Bikram Singh Majithia, who contested against Navjot Singh Sidhu in Amritsar East. Said that Majithia uncle had come to my father to learn politics. Now the public has only one choice, drugs on one side and development, jobs and education on the other.

Rabia said during the election campaign that she would not marry until her father got victory in this election. Rabia further said that her father is hurt by the situation in Punjab today. They want to do a lot for the state.
