NEET PG 2026 Exam Cancelled at Jaipur Sitapura Center NBEMS Announces Re-exam Date

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the cancellation and rescheduling of the NEET-PG 2026 examination at a specific center in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The decision comes after significant technical disruptions and power outages prevented the smooth conduct of the exam at the ION Digital Zone in Sitapura, while candidates who were assigned to this center will now have to appear for a re-examination scheduled for early September.

Technical Glitches and Power Failure at Sitapura Center

According to the official statement from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, the NEET-PG 2026 exam couldn't be completed at the ION Digital Zone (IDZ) Sitapura center due to unforeseen technical issues. Specifically, the board cited a power failure at the venue as the primary reason for the disruption. This led to a situation where the servers and computer systems couldn't function as required for a high-stakes national-level entrance examination.

The disruption caused significant distress among the candidates and their family members who had gathered at the center. Reports indicate that while some candidates were able to log into their systems, many others faced blank screens or server errors, leading to an uneven and unfair testing environment. The local police had to intervene to manage the situation as anger grew among the students and their parents regarding the mismanagement of the process.

Official Statement from Local Authorities

ACP Lalit Sharma provided details regarding the situation at the exam center. He stated, "We received information that the server wasn't working properly, which prevented the exam from being conducted in a normal manner. Some candidates' computers opened while others didn't, causing a major interruption in the examination process. Students are naturally angry about the exam and the overall process. We're currently talking to them and trying to provide counseling.

NBEMS Notice and Statistical Overview of NEET-PG 2026

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences issued a formal notice regarding the rescheduling. The notice specified that the re-examination would be conducted for affected candidates at ION Digital Zone IDZ Sitapura center, specifically for TC numbers 41682 and 41683. The board expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the medical aspirants due to these technical hurdles.

The board also shared comprehensive data regarding the nationwide conduct of the NEET-PG 2026 exam, which was held on 30 August 2026.

While the majority of the candidates across the country were able to finish their exams without major issues, the Sitapura center in Jaipur remained a notable exception. The responsibility for the successful organization and technical execution of the exam at these centers was with the agency TCS (Tata Consultancy Services).

New Exam Date and Instructions for Candidates

The NBEMS has confirmed that the re-examination for the affected candidates will take place on 5 September 2026, which falls on a Saturday. The exam is scheduled to begin at 3 PM in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The board has assured candidates that new admit cards will be issued specifically for this rescheduled session. Detailed information regarding the exact venue and other logistical instructions will be shared with the candidates separately through official channels.

The board emphasized its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process and ensuring that no candidate is unfairly disadvantaged due to technical failures.
