Bihar News: A major decision was approved in the cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar. The state government will provide assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to about 94 lakh families of the state. Although the Chief Minister had already announced this, this decision was approved in the cabinet meeting today.

Announcement was made after caste based census

In fact, after the caste census conducted a few months ago, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had announced that the poor families of the state will be given financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each by the state government. In the caste based census, the number of such families was found to be 94 lakh whose monthly income is less than Rs 6 thousand.

18 agendas approved in cabinet

According to the information, a total of 18 agendas were decided in the cabinet meeting today. Under the Industries Department, Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme was approved for economic development of poor families of different sections of the state.

Under the Chief Minister Extremely Backward Class Civil Services Incentive Scheme under the Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class Welfare Department, incentive amount will be provided at a fixed rate to the candidates who pass various examinations. For this, annual expenditure of Rs 9 crore 79 lakh 50 thousand was approved.

Incentive amount of Rs 75 thousand

Rs 75,000 will be given as incentive to successful candidates in competitive examinations conducted by the Union People Service Commission such as Indian Engineering Service, Indian Economic Service, Indian Statistical Service and Combined Geological Examination.

An incentive amount of Rs 50,000 will be given to extremely backward class candidates who pass the CDS, CBI, CAPF, NDA examinations. An incentive amount of Rs 50 thousand will also be given for passing the preliminary examination of Bihar Judicial Service.
