New Delhi : The winter session of Parliament will begin on Monday. The government will put on the table of the house a bill to withdraw all the three agricultural laws. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will introduce the Agriculture Laws Repeal Bill 2021 in the Lok Sabha for the first time.

The winter session of Parliament is set to begin on Monday, November 29, with a bill to repeal three controversial agricultural laws. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will introduce the Agriculture Laws Repeal Bill 2021 in the Lok Sabha for the first time. Even though the government has decided to repeal three laws, the Parliament session is expected to be uproar over farmers' demand for legislation on Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops. The opposition parties have already supported the demand of the farmers and will try to corner the government on this issue.

The ruling BJP and the main opposition Congress have issued whips to their MPs to be present on the day. Meanwhile, 42 MPs from 31 parties participated in the all-party meeting on the eve of the Parliament session. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not attend the meeting. In this month-long session, 26 bills will be listed for introduction in Parliament. The winter session of Parliament will run from November 29 to December 23.

The Center will introduce the Agriculture Laws Repeal Bill 2021 in the Lok Sabha on Monday. The bill is likely to be passed unanimously and may be introduced in the Rajya Sabha on the same day. Meanwhile, the Congress has demanded a law on MSP and a condolence motion for farmers killed during the year-long protests against three agricultural laws.
