Maharashtra Government: The Shinde government of Maharashtra has given great relief to the people. The government has cut VAT on petrol and diesel. After this relief of the government, petrol has become cheaper by Rs 5 and diesel by Rs 3 in Maharashtra. The decision was taken during the second cabinet meeting of the new government, which was formed last month after former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray resigned. CM Eknath Shinde said after the meeting that the Maharashtra government will reduce VAT on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 3 per liter respectively.this will be the new pricePetrol in Mumbai is currently selling at Rs 111.35 and diesel for Rs 97.28 per liter. After this deduction, petrol will get Rs 106.35 and diesel Rs 97.28 per liter. Petrol in Pune will cost Rs 105.88 per liter, while diesel will cost Rs 92.37 for a litre.After the new rates are implemented, the price of one liter of petrol in Thane will come down to Rs 106.49.
