Rajasthan Election / Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh dies in Rajasthan, voting will not take place here on November 25

Rajasthan Election: Congress candidate in Rajasthan Assembly elections 2023 Gurmeet Singh Kunnar passed away. Gurmeet Kunnar was the Congress candidate from Srikaranpur assembly seat in Sriganganagar district. According to the information, Gurmeet Singh Kunnar died in AIIMS Hospital, Delhi. Ruby Kunnar, son of Gurmeet Singh Kunnar, has confirmed the death. 75-year-old Gurmeet Singh Kunnar was admitted to Delhi AIIMS on November 12. Due to the demise of Gurmeet Singh, there has been a wave of mourning among the family, Congress party and supporters. Due to the death of the candidate before the elections, the elections of Shrikaranpur assembly constituency will now be postponed.

Let us tell you that in the 2018 assembly elections also, elections were held on 199 assembly seats in Rajasthan. Before the elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate Laxman Singh died of a heart attack in Ramgarh in Alwar district. Due to this the elections were postponed here.

Gurmeet Singh Kunnar of Congress had won the triangular contest from Karanpur assembly seat in 2018. Independent Prithipal Singh Sandhu stood second and BJP's Surendra Pal Singh TT stood third. This time all three are face to face again. Sandhu is contesting on Aam Aadmi Party ticket. But Gurmeet Singh Kunnar died before the Rajasthan Assembly elections 2023.
