Jinping has said that China should not be insulted, strict action will be taken against those who question this policy of the country.

According to a CNN report, many people in Shanghai, facing lockdown due to Corona havoc, have expressed their anger through social media over the last five weeks due to severe shortage of food and medical facilities. In Shanghai, human rights suppression due to the zero-covid policy has been exposed in a viral video. This angered China.

On Thursday, a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Politburo, the highest body of the ruling Communist Party, chaired by President Jinping, decided to firmly adhere to the country's zero-Covid policy. The committee decided to take strict action against distorting, doubting, or defaming this policy in any way.

According to state media, this is the first time that Jinping made an important statement at this meeting. The President has given a stern signal amid the outrage arising due to the strict lockdown in Shanghai.

People's discontent is growing due to the harsh lockdown in Shanghai and has also dealt a huge blow to China's economy, as it is China's commercial capital.
