Independence Day 2023: On the eve of 77th Independence Day, President Draupadi Murmu's address to the nation has started. Congratulated on Independence Day, said- all the countrymen are celebrating Amrit Mahotsav with enthusiasm. Everyone is preparing to celebrate Independence Day with enthusiasm. It also reminds me of my childhood. When the tricolor was hoisted, it seemed as if electricity had flashed in the body. Sweets were distributed. It used to fill everyone with enthusiasm. Independence Day reminds us that we are not individuals, we are the largest community of citizens in the world.

This day is proud and sacred for all of us. I am very happy to see the festive atmosphere all around.

Apart from caste, creed, language and region, we also have an identity associated with our family and work area. But we have one identity which is above all, and that identity of ours is being a citizen of India.

Independence Day reminds us that we are not just individuals, but we are part of a great community, the largest and most vibrant of its kind. It is a community of citizens of the world's largest democracy.

The colonial rule tried to eliminate it. We got freedom on 15 August 1947. Our freedom movement was amazing. Took the values of great civilization to the masses. The values of our freedom struggle, truth-non-violence have been adopted all over the world.

Gandhiji and other great heroes rekindled the soul of India and communicated the values of our great civilization to the masses.

I urge all the countrymen to give priority to women empowerment. I would like our sisters and daughters to face all kinds of challenges with courage and move ahead in life.

Today women are contributing extensively in every field and increasing the pride of the country. I am happy that the economic empowerment of women is being taken care of.

Today we are seeing that India has made a fair place in the world. During my travels I have seen a sense of newfound pride. India is making a leading contribution in establishing human values in the world.

India is playing an important role in promoting development goals and humanitarian cooperation all over the world. The G20 represents two-thirds of the world's population, so this is a unique opportunity for us to move global priorities in the right direction.

The country has converted challenges into opportunities and has also registered impressive GDP growth.

President Draupadi Murmu said in Bhopal, 'Today 140 crore countrymen are my family. All languages and dialects are mine. The spirit of 'Yatra Vishvam Bhatyekneedam' (May the whole world become a bird's nest) is ingrained in our tradition since ancient times. The confluence of the ideal of patriotism and universal brotherhood is visible in our country.
