Ram Mandir Ayodhya: The consecration ceremony of Ramlala is going to be held in the Ram temple of Ayodhya on 22 January 2024. On this day, with rituals, the child form of Lord Shri Ram will be installed in the temple. Ramlala will be worshiped in the Ram temple according to a special Ramanandi tradition. It is believed that the Ram temple belongs to the Ramanandhi tradition and hence it has been decided to perform the puja here using the same method. About 90 percent of the temples in Ayodhya are worshiped with this tradition.

It is believed that there is a popular story behind the worship under Ramanandi tradition that this campaign was started in the 14th century due to the religious propaganda of Swami Ramanandacharya to avoid the attacks on Hindus by the Mughals. It is said that Swami Ramanandacharya used Vaishnav worship tradition as a means of propaganda campaign and worshiped from three religious traditions, Vaishnav, Shaiva and Shakta. Here Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita were worshiped as deities.

At the same time, the Vaishnav saint of the South, Swami Ramanujacharya considered Lord Vishnu and Lakshmi as the deity and worshiped in this tradition. Therefore, in some monasteries of Ayodhya, worship is also done according to Ramanujacharya tradition.

Process of Ramlala from waking up to sleeping

According to experts, the worship of Ramlala is a little different in the Ramanandi tradition. The child form of Lord Ram is worshiped here. During this period, their upbringing and food habits are taken care of. During this, after waking up Ramlal from bed, he is bathed with red sandalwood and honey and after afternoon rest and evening Bhog Aarti, the process of 16 mantras is completed till he goes to sleep. During this time, all the rituals are performed keeping in mind the child form of Lord Shri Ram. The same method of worship will remain even after Pran Pratistha.

Different dishes are served to Ramlala according to every day and time and food is offered to Ramlala four times a day. These dishes are prepared in the kitchen of Ram temple. The morning of Ramlala starts with Baal Bhog, in which Rabri, Peda or any other sweet is offered to Ramlala.

Rajbhog is offered to Ramlala in the afternoon, which includes pulses, rice, roti, vegetables, salad and kheer. Different sweets are also offered during the evening aarti and complete food is also offered at night. After this Ramlala is made to sleep. After offering food to Ramlala, this Prasad is distributed to the devotees only occasionally. Apart from this, cardamom seeds are given daily as Prasad to the devotees by the Trust.

Aarti will be held 3 times a day

Aarti of Ramlala is performed 3 times in a day and at this time, Aarti of Ramlala is performed daily.
