Delhi: After long meetings and refusal of three big leaders, the name of the Presidential candidate of the opposition was sealed. However, now it is reported that the CPM unit of West Bengal seems dissatisfied with the name of Yashwant Sinha. The party says that the candidate for the post could have been better. Here, former Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu is standing in the face of Sinha.

A joint statement was issued on behalf of CPM on Facebook. In which Sinha's candidature was supported. Due to this a dispute arose within the party. CPM's Rajya Sabha MP from Bengal Vikas Ranjan Bhattacharya questioned Sinha's candidature in view of his existing ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party and Trinamool Congress and said the party will have to bear it.

At the same time, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury said that Sinha was forced to resign from all party leaders by the Left parties before being made the opposition candidate. It was also described as a 'moral victory' of the Left parties.

Suspense may end in Jharkhand today

A meeting of the Central Committee of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is going to be held on Saturday, in which it will be decided who the party will support in the presidential election. Although the JMM was present in the opposition meeting held on June 15, the party was missing from the last meeting of the opposition parties, where Sinha's name was formally announced.
