Delhi / SMC member sent obscene messages to schoolgirl in Delhi, sought sexual favors; Police sent to jail

Delhi: A 17-year-old girl student studying in a government school in Delhi's Rohini has been allegedly forced to have sex by a middle-aged member of the School Management Committee (SMC) by sending obscene messages. The police have registered a case and arrested the accused

According to the information, SMC member sent obscene messages on mobile to a minor girl studying in Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya of Kanjhawala in Rohini district. Not only this, the accused also asked for sexual favors from the teenager. The accused has been identified as Pradeep alias Balli, 53, a resident of Kanjhawala. It is being told that the accused was appointed a member of the school management committee by the local MLA.

On the complaint of the victim, the Kanjhawala police station had registered a case under Section 354A of the IPC and POCSO Act on June 24. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail.

The complainant student gave her information to the police that she is studying in SKV Kanjhawala Delhi. Balli, the SMC member of the school appointed by the MLA, used to harass her by sending obscene messages on her mobile and asking her to have sex.
