Air Pollution: The air quality in Delhi-NCR has become very poor. The situation has become such that many people coming out of the house in the morning and evening have started getting complaints of cough, soreness, burning in the eyes and shortness of breath. The air quality is getting worse with every new day. AQI 355 in Delhi University, AQI 340 on Mathur Road and Delhi adjoining Noida have reached an alarming level of 392.

Know where the air quality is bad

According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), on October 29, the air quality index in many parts of the country's capital Delhi has crossed 400, which comes in the severe category. The highest AQI in Delhi, (456) was recorded in Anand Vihar.

AQI in Noida Sector 62 at 402 level

The situation is even worse in the areas adjacent to Delhi. According to the Pollution Control Board, on October 29, the air quality level in Sector 62 of Noida reached the level of 402. Whereas in Ghaziabad, Vasundhara the AQI went up to the level of 446.

'Very poor' AQI in these areas

Apart from this, the AQI of many other areas was recorded in the very poor category. These include Alipore, Dwarka Sector-8, Karni Singh Shooting Range, Najafgarh, Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, ITO, Siri Fort, RK Puram, Aya Nagar, Lodhi Road, North Campus, Mathura Road, Pusa, JLN Stadium, Okhla, Aurobindo Road, Dilshad Garden and Burari.

AQI between zero to 50 is good, 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor' and 401 to 500 The AQI is considered 'severe'.
