Train Accident: Due to the accident of two passenger trains and a goods train in Balasore, the death toll in this painful train accident has increased to 233. Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena has confirmed this. The number of dead may increase. More than 1000 people are injured in this accident, who are undergoing treatment. After the incident, rescue personnel are engaged in rescuing the trapped people. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered one-day state mourning in the wake of the train accident at Bahanaga in Balasore district on 2 June 2023. There will be no celebration in the entire state on June 3.

BJP canceled all programs across the country today

BJP National President JP Nadda has expressed deep grief over the Odisha-Balasore train accident. Nadda has said that he is deeply saddened by the horrific train accident in Balasore, Odisha. In view of the gruesome train accident, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has postponed all its programs across the country today.

Rescue operation continues

Army and Airforce were also called for help, rescue operation is going on.

Railway Ministry has announced compensation. 10 lakh each will be given to the families of the deceased.

Dead body still in train coach

According to railway sources, even after 12 hours have passed since the train accident, some bodies are still in the coach of the train. Many agencies are engaged in relief work. Relief and rescue work is going on.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has ordered an inquiry into the accident. CRS/SE Circle AM Chaudhary will investigate the accident.

Nepali PM expressed grief over the accident

Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is on a tour of India, has also expressed grief over the train accident in Odisha. 233 people have died in the accident, while more than 900 people have been injured.

More people feared to be trapped

According to the information, there is a possibility of more people getting trapped in the bogies of the train. Rescue operation is going on on the spot. At the same time, the army has also got involved in this operation. Airforce helicopter has also reached the spot.

TMC demands resignation of Railway Minister after Odisha train accident

The ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal on Friday demanded the resignation of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav over the gruesome train accident in Balasore in the neighboring state of Odisha.
