Russia's RDIF makes the Sputnik-V vaccine available in the international market. RDIF and Panacea Biotech have agreed to produce 100 million doses of Sputnik-V vaccine in India every year. It was announced in April by both. According to the joint statement, full-scale production is expected to begin this summer. However, it does not explicitly mention the month when the vaccine will begin production on a large scale.

"The beginning of production in India together with Panacea Biotech is an important step towards helping the country fight the pandemic," said RDIF Chief Executive Kirill Dumitriv.
