Cricket Desk: The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) locked horns in the match 22 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). After opting to bat first, the Dinesh Karthik-led side finally changed their opening combination. Rahul Tripathi opened the innings with Shubman Gill thanks to his quickfire knock batting at eight in the previous game.

Sunil Narine failed in consecutive matches and even many experts were questioning his presence at the top of the order. Though Gill failed, Tripathi played another impressive knock scoring a half-century. However, KKR yet again managed to pull off a surprise in terms of their batting order. After Nitish Rana got out, everyone expected for Dinesh Karthik or Eoin Morgan to walk out to the middle.

But much to everyone’s surprise, Sunil Narine was sent at number four and this left England all-rounder Ben Stokes surprised. The latter is currently in quarantine which will end soon and he will join the Rajasthan Royals (RR) ahead of their next game. Yuvraj Singh came across this tweet and decided to pull Stokes’ leg.

He responded to the tweet and hilariously said that it is like Yuvraj batting before a player like Stokes. The former Indian cricketer also funnily said that sometimes, a bowler who can bat should be sent to slog his way out ahead of the proper batsman. “Yeah it’s like yuvraj before stokes. Sometimes u got let the all-rounders go before, bowlers who can bat before a proper batsman to slog,” Yuvraj’s tweet read.

How did Sunil Narine fare with the bat?

Coming back to Sunil Narine’s batting, he fared a bit better than earlier matches. The left-hander scored 17 runs off 9 balls with a four and a six during his stay in the middle. He looked to hit his way out and eventually was dismissed by Karn Sharma. It took a brilliant effort from Ravindra Jadeja in the deep as he dived and rallied the ball to Faf du Plessis after the momentum took him to the boundary.
