India-Canada Relations: India has expressed protest over the controversial pictures of Nagar Kirtan in Canada. Accused the Canadian government of allowing 'celebration and glorification' of violence. Trudeau has bluntly told the government to stop giving shelter to radicals in Canada. Glorification of violence should not be a part of any civilized society.

Actually, a controversial and pro-Khalistan tableau was taken out in Malton, Ontario. Regarding this, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India is concerned about the safety of its diplomatic representatives in Canada. Hopes that Ottawa will ensure that they can discharge their responsibilities without any fear.

‘We have repeatedly expressed deep concern’

He said, we have repeatedly expressed our deep concern about the violent images being used by extremist elements in Canada against our political leadership. Last year, a tableau depicting the assassination of our former Prime Minister was used in the procession. Jaiswal said that posters of Indian diplomats have also been put up in Canada. In these, violence has been threatened against him. Celebrating and glorifying violence should not be a part of any civilized society.

‘Such permission should not be given’

He said that democratic countries should not allow such fundamentalist elements in the name of freedom of expression. Let us tell you that in September last year, Prime Minister Trudeau had alleged the possible involvement of Indian agents in the murder of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

After this there was tension between India and Canada. India had rejected Trudeau's allegations as absurd. Last week, Canadian authorities had accused three Indian citizens of Nijjar's murder. It is said that he had reached Canada on a student visa.
