Hyundai Ai3 Micro SUV: The credit for popularizing the micro SUV segment in India goes to Tata Punch. Tata Punch has made the micro SUV segment quite popular. It has been included in the top 10 best selling cars of the country. But, soon a new micro SUV that will directly compete with the Punch can come in the market. This SUV will be from Hyundai. Hyundai is working on a new SUV in the Micro SUV segment, which will rival the Tata Punch when launched in India and offer a new option to its customers.

It is expected that Hyundai will launch its new micro SUV (codenamed Hyundai Ai3) by the end of this year or early next year. The price range of the new Hyundai micro SUV is expected to be in the range of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from the Punch, it will also rival cars like the Maruti Ignis, Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite.

It was also recently spotted during testing, which revealed some of its design elements. The new spy shots have revealed that the Hyundai Ai3 SUV will feature projector headlamps with H-shaped light elements and taillamps with H-shaped design elements. It will also get LED DRLs, circular fog lamps and alloy wheels.

However, only steel wheels can be given in the lower variants of the SUV. Apart from this, not much information has been revealed yet. However, it is also expected to come with features like a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, automatic AC unit and a single-pane sunroof.
