Now terrorists have opened fire on a police bus in Jewan on the outskirts of Srinagar. 14 policemen were injured in the attack, out of which two succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Apart from this, the condition of one policeman remains critical. According to reports, at present the condition of 11 other policemen is out of danger.

Kashmir Zone Police has given information about this incident by tweeting. According to the police, the attack took place at Pantha Chowk in Jewan area. The area has been cordoned off after the attack and all the injured policemen were immediately rushed to the hospital. Search is on for the attacking terrorists. Earlier in the morning, two terrorists were killed during an encounter by security forces in the Rugrat area of ​​Srinagar itself.

An assistant sub-inspector of the armed police was also among those who lost their lives. No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Officials said that a cordon and search operation was going on in the area to nab the terrorists.

PM Modi sought information

It has been told by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) that Prime Minister Modi has sought details of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed condolences to the families of the security personnel martyred in the terrorist attack.
