The first picture of Baba Barfani has surfaced on Wednesday. In this picture the Shivling is in full size inside the cave. There is snow on the mountains outside. After two years, this time the Amarnath Yatra is going to start from June 30. For this, the process of advance registration has started across the country. It is expected that this time more than eight lakh devotees will reach the holy cave for darshan.

Now registration will be done in State Bank of India for travel

This time for Baba Barfani Shri Amarnath Yatra, yatra registration can now be done in State Bank of India (SBI). Keeping in view the record trend for travel this year, the number of bank branches has been increased by involving SBI for the first time for advance travel registration.

Responsibility for registration of 120 bank branches of SBI

The responsibility of registration has been given to 120 bank branches of SBI. In this, four branches of SBI have been included in Jammu and Kashmir. With this, the facility of registration will now be given in 20 bank branches in Jammu and Kashmir, while this number has increased from 446 to 566 across the country. The facility of online registration on the official website of the Shrine Board is also continuing.

Registration process continues from Baltal and Pahalgam track

In J&K, out of 20 bank branches, 6 Punjab National Bank, 4 SBI and remaining 10 J&K bank branches are now providing the facility of advance passenger registration. Registration will be done in SBI's bank branches in the state at Hari Market Jammu branch, Ramban, Doda (near District Deputy Commissioner's office) and Kali Mandi branches located on National Highway at Samba. The registration process for the Yatra is in progress at the bank branches from the traditional Baltal and Pahalgam tracks.

This year the fee was kept at Rs 120

The travel process has been simplified by the board. In this, passengers who have registered in the year 2021 are not being charged for new registration by taking the original documents of passenger registration. Last year the registration fee for each passenger was Rs 100, while this year the fee has been kept at Rs 120.

Mandatory health certificate required for registration

On the basis of old registration, only Rs 20 is being charged from each passenger in bank branches. Compulsory health certificate is a must for advance passenger registration. In case of non-advance registration, pilgrims can also travel during the journey by getting on-spot registration, but for this, passenger quota will be fixed in Jammu and Srinagar. Person below 13 years and above 75 years of age cannot travel.
