Amarnath Cave Cloud Burst: During the Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir, 13 people have been confirmed dead and 48 injured due to cloudburst near the cave. The injured have been admitted to the base hospitals near the cave for treatment. Army, NDRF, Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security forces are searching for the missing people. After the incident, the Shri Amarnath Yatra Shrine Board temporarily suspended the Amarnath Yatra, although it can start again from today. If the condition of any passenger is critical, then all arrangements have been made at Ganderbal District Hospital for his treatment.
Dr Afroza Shah told that there are base hospitals near the holy cave, under the cave and in Panchtarni. Where all the basic facilities including doctors, nurses, medicine and oxygen are available. There the treatment of those injured is going on. At present all the injured are fine and out of danger. However, due to the sudden incident, panic has increased on them.
Leave of doctors canceled in Kashmir ValleyAnticipating an increase in the casualties in the incident, the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu and Kashmir has canceled the leave of all government medical and para-medical staff posted in the Kashmir Valley and asked them to leave immediately.
