Parliament Session: The agenda of the special session of Parliament called by the Modi government at the Center has been unveiled, on which a lot of speculations were being made for the last several days. According to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha bulletin released on Wednesday, the 75-year parliamentary journey that started from the Constituent Assembly will be discussed on the first day of the special session of Parliament. The topics focused on during the discussion include achievements, experiences, memories and learnings of the 75 years of parliamentary journey.

The bulletin said, 'Members are informed that on Monday, 18th September, apart from other formal business like laying of papers, there will be a discussion on the subject of 75 years of Parliamentary journey, achievements, experiences, memories and learnings starting from the Constituent Assembly. Will be held.' Four bills have also been listed during the discussion in Parliament. These include Advocate Amendment Bill, Press and Registration of Periodicals Bill, Post Office Bill and Chief Election Commissioner and other Election Commissioner Appointment Service Conditions Bill.

Central government called all-party meeting on September 17

Earlier in the day, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said that a meeting of floor leaders of all political parties has been called on September 17, a day before the beginning of the five-day Parliament session. Joshi posted on social media platform X (Twitter), the invitation for the meeting has been sent to all concerned leaders through e-mail. At the same time, the opposition parties had criticized the government for not revealing the agenda of the session even though only a few days were left for the session to begin.

The opposition was continuously demanding to clear the agenda

The suspense was deepened after the special session of Parliament was called. All kinds of speculations started regarding the agenda of the session. It was being said that the government could hold Lok Sabha elections earlier. Apart from this, changing the name of the country from India to Bharat, one nation-one election, 33% quota for women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies are some of the issues which have been in discussion. The opposition was continuously demanding that the government clear the agenda for calling the special session. At the same time, in this session, the proceedings of the Parliament are likely to be moved from the old building to the new Parliament building.
