Khargone SP Siddhartha Chaudhary was injured in the ruckus on Ram Navami. He has injured his leg. Now he is admitted to a private hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The SP has narrated the incident in a special conversation with media organizations. He said that the two communities were face to face. A boy was running fast with a sword. When I stopped him, someone else giving him cover shot me, which hit me in the leg.

He had to go. He has told how Siddharth Chaudhary got shot. The SP said that the procession, which started from Talab Chowk on Sunday, was progressing slowly, when stone pelting started. The situation was brought under control in 15 minutes using lathi charge and tear gas. As the procession progressed, there were reports of arson from Sarafa and Sheetlamata temple area. In the evening there was also a arson in Sanjay Nagar. There was stone pelting going on from both the sides.

SP's car was stuck. The house next to them was burning. The fire brigade was called. Suddenly a boy was seen running towards the Hindus with a sword. I tried to snatch the sword from him. It hurt his hand. When he ran after him, another boy opened fire. Initially it was thought that it was a minor stone injury. The blood was not stopping, so he was taken to the hospital. The X-ray showed a bullet wound. The bullet had gone out, so surgery was not needed.
