Lok Sabha Election: The path to power in Delhi passes through Uttar Pradesh. BJP has formed the government twice in a row through this route and is planning for the third time. BJP has set the target of winning all 80 seats of UP in 2024, for which political bets are also being made. BJP has given five out of 80 seats in UP to its allies and is going to try its luck on 75 seats itself. BJP has announced the names of candidates for 51 seats out of 75 in its quota, since Upendra Rawat, who was made the candidate from Barabanki seat, has withdrawn his steps. In this way, BJP has to announce the names of candidates on 25 seats.

Uttar Pradesh BJP core group meeting may be held in Delhi on Saturday evening regarding the names of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. During this time, there can be consideration regarding the names of candidates for the remaining 25 seats in the state. A meeting of UP core group leaders including BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah with CM Yogi Adityanath and BJP President Bhupendra Chaudhary is possible. BJP has not cut the ticket of even a single sitting MP in its first list, but now the fate of veteran leaders like General VK Singh, Varun Gandhi, Maneka Gandhi, Brij Bhushan Singh, Rita Bahuguna Joshi and Santosh Gangwar is to be decided.

Suspense on 25 seats of UP

The heartbeat of party leaders has increased on the 25 Lok Sabha seats of UP for which BJP has not yet declared candidates. Will Sanghamitra be punished for Swami?

The current MP from Badaun Lok Sabha seat is Sanghamitra Maurya, who is the daughter of Swami Prasad Maurya. BJP did not declare candidate for Badaun seat. Everyone's eyes are on whether BJP will give ticket to Sanghamitra again, because his father Swami Prasad is continuously making statements and attacking BJP. Badaun is considered a high profile seat, from where SP has canceled the ticket of Dharmendra Yadav and made Shivpal Yadav its candidate. BJP wants to retain this seat at any cost and does not want to take any kind of risk for it.

Tickets in Bareilly-Ghaziabad-Meerut

All eyes are on Meerut Lok Sabha seat. It is believed that the ticket of sitting MP Rajendra Aggarwal may be cut from the party and there is talk of fielding a new face in his place. Similarly, speculations are also being made regarding Ghaziabad Lok Sabha seat. General VK Singh is a second-time MP and is trying to get a ticket for the third time, but local BJP leaders are becoming obstacles in his path. In such a situation, it remains to be seen whether BJP makes General VK Singh its candidate or not. The name of six-time MP Santosh Gangwar from Bareilly Lok Sabha seat was also not in the first list, after which there are speculations that the party may cancel his ticket. BJP is preparing to field a new face from Bareilly seat.

Will Varun and Maneka get tickets?

The seats where BJP has not yet declared candidates include Varun Gandhi's Pilibhit and his mother Maneka Gandhi's Sultanpur Lok Sabha seat. Due to the way Varun Gandhi has been giving statements, it is believed that the party is being speculated to field a new face by cutting his ticket from Pilibhit seat. Similarly, all eyes are on Sultanpur seat to see whether the party will make Maneka Gandhi a candidate again or not. In this way, there is doubt on both Varun Gandhi and Maneka Gandhi, on whom everyone's eyes are fixed.

What will happen to Brijbhushan-Bahuguna?

Names of candidates from Prayagraj and Kaiserganj seats were not in the first list of BJP. Rita Bahuguna Joshi is the MP from Prayagraj and Brij Bhushan Singh is the MP from Kaiserganj seat. Bahuguna had announced to leave politics in 2022 itself, due to which it is believed that BJP can field a new face from Prayagraj. At the same time, BJP may not have opened its cards on Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat, but Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is planning to contest the elections. Brij Bhushan Singh was accused of sexual exploitation by female wrestlers, the case of which is still going on. In such a situation, everyone's eyes are on whether BJP will give him the ticket or not?

Who will BJP give ticket to in Mainpuri-Bareilly?

BJP did not declare its candidates even in Mainpuri, the stronghold of SP, and Rae Bareli seat, which is considered to be the stronghold of the Gandhi family. SP's Dimple Yadav is the MP from Mainpuri seat and has again entered the election fray. BJP has been betting on Shakya candidate for the last two elections, but this time it is in the mood for change. At the same time, BJP could not win Rae Bareli seat even in Modi wave, but after Sonia Gandhi left this seat, BJP is eyeing this seat. BJP has included SP MLA Manoj Pandey in its camp so that it can contest the elections strongly. In such a situation, it remains to be seen who BJP will field from Mainpuri and Rae Bareli seats this time.

Attention will also be on Deoria seat from where MP Ramapati Ram Tripathi is. Apart from this, eyes are also on Moradabad, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Firozabad, Hathras, Ballia seats. Moradabad and Saharanpur are held by the opposition while the remaining seats are held by BJP MPs. The party does not seem confident about the victory of its sitting MPs. BJP may cancel the ticket of sitting MP Virendra Singh Mast from Ballia. Apart from this, there is also trouble in Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat, where BSP is in control. MP Afzal Ansari, who won from BSP, has this time contested the election from SP, which BJP is trying to take over.
