A team of experts from DGCA will soon come to Uttarakhand to take stock of the safety standards in the operation of Kedarnath Heli service. Security arrangements will be inspected by the team at Guptkashi, Phata and Sirsi helipads. Heli service will be operated only after the permission of DGCA.

The doors of Kedarnath temple are opening on 6th May.

Heli service booking has been completed a month in advance from 6 to 20 May. Around 3500 tickets have been booked online. In which 15 thousand passengers will reach Kedarnath by heli service. The Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) has completed all the preparations for operating the heli service, but some permission has to be taken from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Only after that aviation companies will be allowed to operate heli service.

Heli service will be operated for Kedarnath Dham through nine aviation companies. In this, heli service will be operated from Guptkashi to Arrow Aircraft and Aryan Aviation, from Phata to Pawan Hans, Chipson Aviation, Thambi Aviation and Pinnacle Air Company, from Sarsi Helipad to Arrow Aircraft, Himalayan Heli and Ketral Aviation.

Civil Aviation Secretary Dilip Jawalkar says that a committee of DGCA has been constituted to verify the pilots of Kedarnath Heli Service. The committee will meet in Delhi on April 27. After this, the DGCA team will come to Uttarakhand to take stock of the safety standards in the heli service.

Restaurants will not charge service charge

There has been a ban on charging service charge in restaurants located on the Chardham Yatra route. Parking will be arranged in schools and colleges for the vehicles of devotees. If the number of vehicles increases, vehicles will be stopped in Rishikesh-Haridwar.
