From the new academic session in government colleges of the state, 75 subjects will be taught to the students instead of 45. This is to say of Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. He said that Vedas, Jyoshit and Vedic Mathematics would also be included in the syllabus.
Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Dr. NK Joshi, Vice Chancellor of Kumaon University, to include new subjects in the curriculum. The syllabus has been prepared after taking the opinion of the academicians to prepare the syllabus on behalf of the committee.
The Higher Education Minister said that under the new education policy, the university has the autonomy to decide the syllabus. After the proposal of the course is brought to the cabinet, it will be implemented in the colleges from the new academic session.
