Its market launch is expected before next year's festive season. If reports are to be believed then the new Maruti Jimny can come in two seating configurations – 5-seat and 7-seat (optional). The new 5-door Maruti Jimny can get a 1.5 liter K15 petrol engine. A 5-speed manual gearbox can be given in it. It will be equipped with 4X4 drivetrain system.5-Door Mahindra TharMahindra is testing its 5-door Thar. This new off-road SUV can also be showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo and can be launched towards the end of the next financial year. The 5-door Mahindra Thar could be based on a ladder frame chassis. Also, Pentalink rear suspension can also be given in it. Compared to the 3-door Thar, it will have a longer wheelbase and more cabin space. It can get the option of 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engine. This off-road SUV can come in 6 and 7-seating layout.5-DOOR FORCE GURKHAThe 5-door version of the Force Gurkha has already started arriving at the dealerships. It comes with a longer wheelbase as compared to the 3-door version Gurkha. The higher trims of the SUV could get 18-inch alloy wheels and the lower variants could get smaller steel wheels. The 5-door Force Gurkha could be powered by the same 2.6-litre turbo diesel engine that powers the 3-door version. It will also come with 4X4 drivetrain system.
