Uttarakhand News: These days the cases of love jihad are in headlines in Uttarakhand and people have started taking to the streets to register their protest. From Pachhwadun to Uttarkashi in the state, tremendous resentment is being seen among the people regarding the cases of love jihad. The case of attempt to abduct a Hindu minor girl in Purola does not seem to be settling down. Resentment among the locals against Muslims and outside traders continues. Even the posters to vacate the shops before the proposed mahapanchayat of June 15 are visible outside the shops of Muslims.

9 landlords got shops vacated

After putting up the posters, 9 landlords of Purauli have announced to vacate their shops. At the same time, the police have registered a case against unknown people who spoiled the environment by pasting posters. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also took cognizance of the abduction of a minor girl student in Purola and spoiling the harmonious atmosphere in the district and said, 'The state government is completely strict regarding love jihad and land jihad. This type of antics will not be allowed to happen in Devbhoomi. Dhami has instructed the police officers to be strict in such cases.

About 13 cases came to light in a month

While the Uttarakhand government is patting itself on the back regarding the conversion law, the cases of love jihad are increasing in the state these days. In fact, in the past, cases of love jihad have come to the fore from many areas including Haridwar, Uttarkashi, Haldwani. Similar cases are also in discussions from Vikasnagar and Chakrata areas of Dehradun district. According to reports, in the last one month only about 13 such cases have come to the fore. The most worrisome situation remains in Pachhwadun region regarding these matters and in some areas Hinduist organizations have tried to warn such people by putting up posters.

What is the case of Purola of Uttarkashi?

Recently, the traders of Purola in Uttarkashi district had opposed many traders of a particular community. The reason for this was that a case of trying to abduct a minor girl came to light here. In fact, on May 26, a case was registered under section 363 of IPC and POCSO Act against Ubaid s/o Ahmed and Jitendra Saini s/o Attar Saini, residents of Nazimabad, for trying to abduct a minor girl. Both the boys were arrested and sent to jail.

Why has there been an uproar in Vikas Nagar?

In Dehradun's Vikasnagar, two Muslim youths had reached Koti Kanasar with a 16-year-old Hindu girl from Shillai in Himachal Pradesh. They were looking for a hotel room when the villagers got suspicious and handed the youth over to the police. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused Shahrukh son of Saharanpur, Dilshad son of Idreesh Vikasnagar, works in a salon in Paonta Sahib, Himachal. They brought the girl to Chakrata from here. A case was registered against the youth under section 363/366 of IPC and POCSO Act and sent to jail.
