Nepal PM Prachanda: The difficulties of Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda may increase. The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which supported him, has withdrawn its support to the government. The RSP on Sunday decided to pull out of the country's ruling coalition after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' refused to reinstate its president Rabi Lamichhane as Nepal's home minister. This has brought a new twist in the politics of Nepal.

Can Prachanda's chair also be in danger due to the withdrawal of RSP's support? In Nepal's 275-member assembly, 138 members are needed for a majority. Prachanda had handed over the letter of support of a total of 169 members to the President. RSP comprises 20 of these members. Now after 20 members out of 169, Prachanda is left with a majority of 149 members. That is, there is no possibility of the fall of the government at present. But if any other party also pulls hand from Prachanda, then his chair may be in danger.

took back support in the war of chair

The decision to withdraw support from the ruling party of Nepal was taken in a joint meeting of RSP central members and MPs. Lamichhane (48) was elected from Chitwan-2 constituency in the elections in November last year. According to the news of the Kathmandu Post, after a decision of the Supreme Court of Nepal on 27 January, he lost his membership of Parliament. The Supreme Court had said that the citizenship certificate he had submitted to contest the parliamentary elections was invalid. According to this newspaper, in such a situation, his ministerial post and party president's post also went away, because to hold these posts it is necessary for a person to be a Nepali citizen. According to this newspaper, on January 29, he regained citizenship and after that he met Prachanda and demanded that he be reinstated as Home Minister. But the Prime Minister refused to do so.

Was on the chair of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister

Lamichhane was appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Nepal on December 26 last year. Prior to that, his party, the RSP, had emerged as the fourth largest force in parliament, winning 20 seats in the federal election. Television personality Lamichhane hit the headlines in 2013 when he tried to create a Guinness World Record by hosting the longest talk show. Addressing a press conference after the joint meeting of the Central Committee of the RSP, Lamichhane said that in the past too there were attempts to embroil him in many controversies, but he always managed to come out of them. RSP's decision to pull out of the coalition government will not make any difference to the political future of Prime Minister Prachanda. According to the newspaper, this is because even though the RSP has decided to recall its ministers, the party will continue to support this government.
