Advocate Shailendra Mishra told that when Tunisha had a breakup with Sheejan, she created a profile on the dating app Tinder. On this app, he became friends with a boy named Ali. Tunisha also went on a date with him. Tunisha also talked to Ali from 21-23 December. The actress spoke to her mother on December 23 through a video call from Ali's phone. 15 minutes before the suicide, Tunisha spoke to Ali through a video call. This means not Sheejan but Ali was in contact with Tunisha.

Sheejan's lawyer also said that Tunisha had told her co-star and friend Parth about the difficulties. Tunisha also showed the rope to Parth. This was an indication that she was thinking of suicide. When Sheejan got this information, she told Tunisha's family about this and also asked to take care of her. During this, Sheejan's lawyer also said that Tunisha was taking some medicines which were dangerous.
