Murder In Sonepat Court Premises / Two bike riders shot the young man, was the main witness in the case of wife's murder

In Sonipat, a man who had a love marriage with a village girl was shot dead on Friday morning at 10.15 in the court premises. He had come to testify in the court in connection with the murder of his wife. Vedprakash, who married in the same gotra, had filed a murder case against the wife's father, Vijaypal. Till now Vijaypal is lodged in the district jail in that case.

Had a love marriage with a friend's 18-year-old daughter

The 18-year-old daughter of Vijaypal, a resident of village Mukimpur in Rai police station area, had a love marriage in December 2020 with Vedprakash Antil (43), a friend of his father's neighbor. After that, after the daughter's return, Vijaypal left village Mukimpur and started living in Rohtak by building a house. After that the daughter had again absconded with Vedprakash from the Rohtak house on 3 June 2021. Angered by this, Vijaypal called his daughter home on July 6, 2021, on the pretext of celebrating her birthday. Vedprakash had left his wife in front of Rai police station. Vijaypal Rai had taken the daughter in a car from outside the police station, Veprakash had made a video of it. After this, Vijaypal had also called Virendra, a resident of Rithal, the grandson of his aunt in Rohtak, on the way. After that, the daughter was strangled to death near Khedi Damkan.

Court had come to testify in the murder of wife

Vedprakash had lodged a report of the wife's murder against her father Vijaypal in Rai police station. When the police arrested Vijaypal and interrogated him, it was found that he had thrown the body of the daughter in Gangnahar in Meerut. The police had also arrested Virendra, who was involved in the murder. Both are still in jail in this case. There was testimony in the court on Friday in the case of murder of the girl. Vedprakash had come to the court to testify. He had reached the court premises to testify at around 10.15 am on Friday. During this, two armed youths fired two bullets at him and fled. The police team took the injured Vedprakash to the civil hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Changed court premises in the cantonment

There was a stir in the police as soon as the information about the shooting in the court premises was received. Along with SP Himanshu Garg, the team of ASP Nikita Khattar and DSP Vipin Kadian reached the court premises. The police are interrogating the suspects in the court premises. Police have taken three youths into custody. They are suspected of being informers of Vedprakash.

Bar Association called a meeting

Law and order has collapsed in the court premises. In a year, there have been three shots fired in the premises. Two witnesses were shot in these. The Bar Association has expressed displeasure over this. Bar Association President Sandeep Sharma alias Sweety told that after consultation in the meeting of the Bar, a delegation will meet the SP.
