US Vice President Kamala Harris and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone conversation on Thursday. There has been a discussion between the two leaders regarding the vaccine. Kamala Harris has promised the Prime Minister to supply the vaccine. News agency ANI, quoting sources, has claimed that this phone call was made by Kamala Harris to Prime Minister Modi.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted and wrote, "Spoke to Kamala Harris a while back. I appreciated the assurance of vaccine supply to India as part of the US strategy for vaccine sharing around the world. In addition, the US government, businesses and Also thanked him for the support he got from the diaspora." The PM also wrote that he also discussed the ongoing cooperation between India and America regarding the vaccine. It is being told that the PM has also invited Kamala Harris to come to India. He has said that after the situation improves, come to India.

US President Joe Biden has announced that 80 million doses of the vaccine will be supplied by the end of June. Of these, 25 crore doses will be supplied initially, of which 75% i.e. 19 crore will be sent to other countries under COVAX. Whereas, the remaining 60 lakh doses will be sent to those countries where the cases of corona are increasing rapidly. These will be sent to Canada, Mexico, India and South Korea.
