Most of the enthusiasm is being seen among the children of the country regarding corona vaccination. Statistics show that 12 to 14-year-olds outnumber teens to adults, frontline workers and health workers in getting the vaccine. The confidence in the vaccine is being seen in these children so much that within nine days where the country has completed 20 percent of the target. At the same time, every other dose of vaccination being done in the country for the last four days is also being given to them. So far, more than 10 million children of this age have made an appointment to get the vaccine on the Covin website itself, which is about 25 percent of the total estimated number.

According to the Union Health Ministry, Corbevax vaccine is being given to children in the age group of 12 to 14 years in the country, whose two doses are required to be taken at an interval of 28 days. The vaccination of these children has started from March 16. For the first three days from March 16 to 18, the vaccination of children in almost all the states was very slow. One of the reasons for this was also believed to be the festival of Holi, but after that the situation changed completely.

Statistics show that on the first day on March 16, 3.65 lakh children took the first dose. After this, 5.81 on 17 and 2.53 lakh children took the dose on 18 March. At the same time, 5.50 lakh children were vaccinated on March 19, just after Holi, but due to the closure of most government centers on Sunday, March 20, due to the closure of most government centers, only 48 thousand children were vaccinated. However, the vaccination rate has tripled since then as 17.44 lakh children across the country were vaccinated on March 21, which is more than three times as compared to March 19.

A senior Health Ministry official said that vaccination is very important to prevent corona. Vaccination has been going on in the country for more than a year. However, he has not yet seen the enthusiasm of children in vaccination of any other class. Earlier immunization of adolescents aged 15 to 17 had started. During that time, there was a lot of attachment among the adolescents, but the vaccination of children is going far ahead of them.

The target is expected to be completed by next month

Schools are also going to open soon under the new academic session in most of the states of the country. Schools are opening in the national capital Delhi from April 1.
