How will DU work to be included in the list of top 200 universities in the world?

The name of DU runs not only in the country but also in foreign countries. The university, associated with the time of independence movement, dreams of being included in the top 200 of the best in the world. Whatever parameters are there for this, it will be fulfilled. This includes student-teacher ratio, research, foreign students, infrastructure and other parameters. Keeping these in mind, preparations are being started by making a complete blueprint. It will be an honor for the university if Delhi University is included in the list of 200 best universities in the world in the international rankings. Apart from this, it will be a matter of pride for Indian higher education. Research will also be done. Research areas can be selected based on the solutions to the problems of the common people. They will be published in International Journal, so that rating can be given.

Will there be any change in the course and syllabus as well?

The biggest priority is to implement the National Education Policy 2020. Based on this, the four-year degree program has been approved. The Joint Admission Entrance Test (CUET) will now provide admission to undergraduate programs. Due to CUET, ordinary students of remote, rural, government schools will also be able to get seats on the basis of merit. All students will be seen from the same point of view. This will be the biggest change in higher education. At present, 540 courses are taught. Keeping in mind the NEP, there will be a special focus on technology. There is also a preparation to start 25 to 30 new courses giving market demand and employment.

Will engineering degree programs also be integrated into the university?

Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT) formerly Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology was a college of the University of Delhi. Later, after the formation of the university, it was separated from DU. So BTech is not a degree program in core area. Students will also get a chance to study BTech program in DU soon. Faculty of Technology program will be started. Three new courses in B.Tech. Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science Engineering will be started.

What is the plan to connect students with employment with education?

Due to the four-year degree program and dual degree program, students will now get the freedom to study subjects of their choice in addition to their subjects. This will bring a big change in higher education. Now students will have better opportunities to increase their knowledge apart from the degree. This will benefit them in further employment or starting their own work. In higher education, after the independence of subjects in studies, the emphasis will be on providing better placement opportunities to the students to connect them with employment. Will work on internship. On the lines of IITs and IIMs, companies will be linked with campus placements, so that employment is also available to the students before the degree. Special training sessions will also be given to them for this. If a student wants to start his own company in startup then it will also help for him.
