Cricket Desk: A brand new wax statute of Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds museum in Dubai on Monday (October 18). The latest figure features Kohli in India’s navy blue jersey. Notably, this isn’t Kohli’s first statue at the renowned wax museum. While Madame Tussauds unveiled Kohli’s first wax statue in 2018 in the Delhi museum, his second wax statue was out in England during the 2019 World Cup in England.

Kohli is indeed one of the finest batters to have ever graced the game and his records speak volumes of his prowess. Be it scoring quick runs in limited-overs cricket or playing marathon knocks in Test matches, the talismanic batter embraced every challenge that came his way. In fact, he’s the only cricketer to have a 50-plus average in all three formats.

Owing to the same, the 32-year-old has multiple statutes at the Madame Tussauds museum. Meanwhile, the latest statue shows Kohli’s in India’s navy blue jersey, which was unveiled last year ahead of the white-ball series against Australia. However, the Indian team is sporting a slightly different version of the jersey in the T20 World Cup 2021.

Meanwhile, Kohli has a job in hand as India eye their second T20 World Cup title. As the talismanic batter will step down as India’s T20I skipper after the competition, he would like to end his stint on a high note. The Men in Blue will kick-start their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 24.

With India and Pakistan having a history over the 22 yards, fans are eagerly waiting for the mother of all clashes. However, as per Kohli, it’s just another game of cricket.

“I honestly never felt so,” said Kohli when asked if playing against Pakistan is any different for him.  “I have just approached this game as another game of cricket and I know there is a lot of hype around this game, more so with ticket sales and demands of tickets,” he added.

It has to be noted that India have a perfect record against the Men in Green in the global event. The two sides have locked horns in five T20 World Cup matches and India emerged winners every single time.
