New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday answered questions from the opposition on Jammu and Kashmir. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said- Unfortunately, the Prime Minister who speaks on every matter is silent about crimes against women. Now India is moving from 'Make in India' to 'Rape in India'. Earlier, Adhir Ranjan asked what is the normal situation in Kashmir, how many leaders are in jail right now. On this, Shah said that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is absolutely normal, but I cannot normalize the situation of the Congress. 

Shah said- After the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress had spoken of flowing rivers there, but nothing like this happened. There is not a single bullet in the valley.

We don't want to follow Congress: Shah

He said, “We do not want to keep the politicians of Jammu and Kashmir in jail for even an extra day. When the administration feels that the right time has come, the political leaders will be released. Farooq Abdullah's father was jailed by the Congress for 11 years. We do not want to follow them. They will be released as soon as the administration decides. " 

'General means political activities for Congress'

Shah said, “99.5% of students in Kashmir took the exam, but this is not normal for Adhir Ranjan Ji. 7 lakh people got OPD facility in Srinagar. Curfew and Section 144 were removed from everywhere, but political activity is the only criterion for Adhir ji to be normal. ” 

Arms amendment bill will be introduced in Rajya Sabha

Union Minister Amit Shah will present the Arms Amendment Bill in the Rajya Sabha today. This act was passed in the Lok Sabha only on Monday. The new law provides for life imprisonment for making or possessing an illegal weapon. BJP MP RK Sinha has given a notice of discussion in the Rajya Sabha for awarding the Padma Award to the late Mathematician Vashisht Narayan Singh and naming Patna University after him. Apart from this, Congress MP Chhaya Verma has demanded a discussion on the rising prices of onions. There is a possibility of a ruckus in the Rajya Sabha regarding the Citizenship Amendment Bill. The bill was approved in the Lok Sabha yesterday. 

What is the provision in the Arms Amendment Bill?

Under the new provisions of the Arms Amendment Bill, firing during celebrations and endangering the lives of others can be punishable by up to two years. Violation of rules may also attract a penalty of one lakh rupees. The convict can also be given both sentences simultaneously. The validity of the license has also been increased from three to five years. At the same time, there has been no change in the rules regarding weapons for sportsmen and ex-servicemen.
