Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday replied to the motion of thanks on the President's address in the Lok Sabha. He said that the public has given him the opportunity to sit in this place for the 14th time and he is thankful for this. He said that the President's speech strengthened the resolve of a developed India.

PM Modi In Lok Sabha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday responded to the ongoing discussion under the motion of thanks on the President's address in the Lok Sabha. During this, he also gave his response to the allegations made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

Starting his address, the Prime Minister said that the public has given him the opportunity to come to this stage for the 14th time and express his gratitude to the President. He said that in the year 2025, we will have crossed a quarter of the 21st century, and this time will decide the direction of India's development. The Prime Minister described the President's address as strengthening the resolve of developed India and inspiring for the people.

Prime Minister Modi said that his government got the opportunity to serve the country for 10 years and during this period 25 crore Indians came out of the poverty line. He said that for decades people had to hear slogans of poverty eradication, but his government turned it into reality. Enumerating the various efforts made for poverty eradication, he said that the government focused on real development instead of false slogans.

In his address, the Prime Minister said that so far 4 crore houses have been provided to the poor, which has improved their lifestyle. He said that the difficulties of sisters and daughters have been reduced by constructing more than 12 crore toilets. Apart from this, he also mentioned providing tap water to 12 crore families under Jal Jeevan Mission.

Prime Minister Modi said that corruption was rampant in the previous governments, where only 15 paise out of one rupee reached the poor. But his government made Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) effective using technology, due to which Rs 40 lakh crore reached the accounts of the beneficiaries directly and Rs 3 lakh crore was saved from going to fake beneficiaries. He said that the JAM portal was used to bring transparency in government procurement, which resulted in saving Rs 1.15 lakh crore.

Prime Minister Modi said that the government gave priority to the Swachhata Abhiyan, due to which Rs 2300 crore was received from the junk sold from government offices. He reduced the country's energy import dependence and increased the income of farmers by emphasizing on ethanol production.

He said that in the last 10 years, scams have come down and the money of the people of the country has been invested in the development of the country. He informed that the infrastructure budget has been increased to Rs 11 lakh crore, which has strengthened roads, railways and other infrastructure.

Referring to various schemes, Prime Minister Modi said that under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, people have saved Rs 1.2 lakh crore, while through Jan Aushadhi Kendras, there was a saving of medicines worth Rs 30 thousand crore. Also, the expenditure on health has also come down due to Nal Se Jal Yojana and Swachhata Mission.

Referring to tax reforms, he said that before 2014, income up to Rs 2 lakh was tax free, but today this limit has increased to Rs 12 lakh. The salaried class will not have to pay any income tax up to Rs 12.75 lakh, which will provide relief to taxpayers.

On providing opportunities to the youth, the Prime Minister said that his government opened the space and defense sectors to private companies, which gave new employment opportunities to the youth. He said that the government is striving to make India the global capital of gaming and in this direction technologies like AI, 3D printing and VR are being promoted. Referring to Atal Tinkering Labs, he said that 50 thousand new labs have been planned in Budget 2025.

Prime Minister Modi appealed to the youth not to be swayed by hollow promises made in electoral politics. Giving the example of the recent elections in Haryana and Maharashtra, he said that his government won the support of the people due to fulfilling the promises.

It is clear from this address of the Prime Minister that the government is dedicated to the upliftment of the poor, middle class and youth and is working to make the country a developed nation.
