Navratri 2025: Sharadiya Navratri concludes on the ninth day. This nine-day sacred festival is dedicated to the nine forms of Goddess Durga. On the ninth day of Navratri, Goddess Siddhidatri, the final and ninth form of Goddess Durga, is worshipped. Goddess Siddhidatri is considered the goddess who grants all accomplishments and wishes. This day, also known as Navami, marks the concluding day of Navratri.Significance of Goddess SiddhidatriMaa Siddhidatri is worshipped on the final day of Navratri. This goddess bestows fame, strength, wealth, and all kinds of accomplishments upon her devotees. It is believed that with the blessings of Goddess Siddhidatri, all one's desires are fulfilled. Kanya Pujan also holds special significance on this day, symbolizing the worship of the nine forms of the Goddess.Offerings to Goddess SiddhidatriSpecial offerings are made to Goddess Siddhidatri on the ninth day of Navratri. These offerings are considered a means of pleasing the Mother Goddess and receiving her blessings. The following offerings are especially dear to Mother Siddhidatri:
- Halwa: Mother Siddhidatri loves halwa. It is made from semolina, sugar, and ghee, and the use of nuts makes it even more delicious.
- Poori: Fried puris made from wheat flour are offered to the Mother Goddess. This offering symbolizes simplicity and devotion.
- Chana: Black gram curry or boiled chickpeas are offered to the Mother Goddess. This is a nutritious and traditional offering.
- Coconut: Coconut is considered a symbol of purity and devotion. Offering it to the Mother Goddess is considered auspicious.
- Sesame Dishes: Sesame laddus or other sweets are very dear to Mother Siddhidatri. Sesame seeds are considered a symbol of positive energy and purity.
- Kheer: Kheer made from milk, rice, and sugar is also offered to the Mother Goddess. It symbolizes sweetness and devotion.
- Sweets made from nuts: Offering sweets made from nuts like almonds, cashews, and pistachios to the Goddess brings special merit.
