Ram Mandir Ayodhya: The ritual of consecration of Ramlala in the Ram temple of Ayodhya has started from Tuesday. First of all, the formal worship of Pran-Pratishtha started with the Atonement Puja. What is Atonement Puja?

Pandit Durga Prasad said that atonement is a method of worship in which atonement is done in all three ways - physical, internal, mental and external. For external atonement the host has to take 10 ritual baths. In this, bathing is done with Pancha Dravya and many other ingredients. There is another atonement offering and also a resolution. In this the host makes atonement through Godan. In this, atonement is done by donating some money and this also includes donating gold.

Know who performs the Atonement Puja

Pandit Durga Prasad says that we have the right to sit when we perform any sacred work or Yagya. The host has to perform this act of atonement. Normally the Pandit does not have to do this but the host has to do this type of atonement. The basic feeling behind this is that whatever kind of sin we have committed knowingly or unknowingly, we should atone for it, because we commit many such mistakes. If we are not even aware of it, then purification is very important. That is, the puja we perform for the forgiveness of the mistakes committed knowingly or unknowingly is called Prayaschita Puja. Therefore, before any kind of worship, penance worship is necessary.

What is Karma Kuti Puja?

Pandit Durga Prasad said that Karma Kuti Puja means Yagyashala worship. Before starting the Yagyashala, the Havan Kund or Bedi is worshipped. A small worship of Lord Vishnu is done and only after that worship one goes inside the temple for worship. A puja is performed to gain entry into each area. After performing that puja, after getting a right, we go inside the temple and perform the puja.

Know how much time will be taken for puja

Pandit Durga Prasad said that the penance worship will take at least one and a half to two hours and the Vishnu worship will also take the same amount of time. The atonement puja started for the consecration of life has started at 9:30 in the morning and this puja will continue for about 5 hours. 121 Brahmins are performing this worship as per the rituals.
