Punjab Election / Will power change in Punjab or will Congress return Neck competition between the four camps

Zoom News : Feb 20, 2022, 07:45 PM
The talk of change in Punjab is on the lips of most of the people. People believe that we have tried both Congress and Akali. But, our problem did not get resolved. That is why this time he wants to try the Aam Aadmi Party. Be it the Chowk, the intersection or the people standing around the polling booth, the trend regarding the Aam Aadmi Party was clearly visible.

Aam Aadmi Party's upper hand

However, there are two types of discussion about who will form the government in Punjab. The first is that either the Aam Aadmi Party government will be formed with a majority or there will be a hung Legislative Assembly. But even in a hung situation, the Aam Aadmi Party will emerge as the single largest party.

Congress got power from Channi

As far as Congress is concerned, it is being said that it will remain at number two. The biggest reason for this is that there is talk of Chief Minister Channi losing one of the two seats and party president Navjot Sidhu's own seat being stuck. By the way, people definitely believe that if there was an election under the leadership of Captain, the Congress would have gone to number three. Channi has brought the party to the fight in a short time i.e. in about 100 days.

Kejriwal may be harmed by this issue

However, the Aam Aadmi Party has suffered the loss of Kejriwal's link with the Khalistan case, but less than the last time. Because this matter was raised very late this time. In the 2017 elections, about 20 days before the voting, the matter of Bhatinda blast and Kejriwal's stay at Khalistani's house came. Till then people knew less about Kejriwal and the opposition parties had got time to campaign against him. The impact of this issue has been less visible in conversations with people.

Baba Ram Rahim can make a big difference

The Aam Aadmi Party is also seeing the loss of Baba Ram Rahim's appeal to vote in favor of BJP and Akali. Because a large number of Ram Rahim's supporters were going to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party, but now the situation has changed. According to the region, Punjab is divided into 3 regions. First Malwa which has 69 seats, second Manjha 25 and third Dwaba 23 regions.

Otherwise towards Punjab hung assembly

The Aam Aadmi Party did well in the Malwa region last time as well. It got most of the 20 seats from this region. The equation to form the government will depend on the performance of the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party in this region. Also, if the Aam Aadmi Party is successful in entering the Manjha and Dwaba regions, then its government is certain. Otherwise Punjab will go towards a hung Legislative Assembly.

Barring the 1967 and 1969 elections..

There is also a fear of a hung Legislative Assembly among the people, because after the farmers' agitation, voters angry with Modi and BJP do not want to see Modi's rule in Punjab through President's rule at any cost. Anyway, Punjab has always had a majority government... except the 1967 and 1969 elections.

About 35% Dalit voters

Talking about the caste equation, there are about 35 percent Dalit voters here. Due to Charanjit Channi being a Dalit, Congress is likely to benefit the most in this vote bank, on the other hand the Aam Aadmi Party is also claiming to come to power with the help of this vote bank. In Dalit vote bank, 60% Congress and 40% are likely to go with Aam Aadmi Party.

20% Jatt Sikh Voters

The second number is 20% Jatt Sikh voters. Out of which the Aam Aadmi Party, Akali Dal and Congress will go to different areas and according to the candidate. It is believed that the first choice of Jatt Sikh voters is the Aam Aadmi Party, the reason for this being the CM face of Bhagwant Mann. Akali will be at number two and Congress on third.

The number of Hindu voters is also fine.

Apart from this, the number of Hindu voters is also fine. In this, the BJP alliance will benefit the most. The Aam Aadmi Party is also making a dent in it, but it is being said that the mood of Hindu voters has changed after the news of Kejriwal being associated with Khalistan. Because they may have to bear the brunt of the unrest in Punjab.

Your government or a hung government?

In the end, looking at the voting and voter's attitude in Punjab today, it can be said that now it is the turn of either AAP's government or a hung government in Punjab. Chances of a repeat of the Congress government are negligible.
